50,000 Expected at Copenhagen Climate March on Saturday

It will then proceed to the courtyard of Christiansborg Palace, which houses the Danish Parliament. Police authorities have approved the demonstration's planned route. Based on estimates from the event organizers, police expect around 50,000 participants to join the march. Event spokesperson Freja Nielsen commented on the demonstration's purpose. According to the announcement, Nielsen said, 'This is about holding the new government to its climate promises from the 2025 agreement.' A stage program at the event will feature a series of speeches. The speakers will include youth activists, scientists, and representatives from the Danish Society for Nature Conservation. To manage the expected crowds, the public transport operator Movia will add extra bus and metro services throughout the city on Saturday.
