Copenhagen Airport's metro station will close for two days due to renovation work. The shutdown runs from Wednesday October 29 at 8:30 AM through Thursday October 30 at 4:30 PM.

Replacement bus services will operate between Femøren Station and the airport train station. Passengers traveling to or from the airport must switch to metro buses at Femøren Station.

Femøren Station sits approximately two kilometers from the airport terminals. Regional and InterCity trains will continue serving the airport during this period.

The temporary closure allows expansion work at Copenhagen Airport Station. Workers will add new platforms and tracks to increase capacity.

The station will also receive a new pedestrian bridge connecting to Terminal 3. These upgrades address growing traffic demands on the Øresund Railway.

Project organizers expect even more train traffic when the Fehmarn Belt tunnel opens. The busy Øresund corridor currently operates near capacity.

Passengers should check station displays and metro websites for real-time updates. This infrastructure work reflects Copenhagen's ongoing efforts to accommodate rising transit demands as the region grows.

Airport metro disruptions create genuine inconvenience for travelers, but the expanded capacity should ultimately benefit the thousands who use this critical transit link daily.
