Center-Right Parties Gain Majority in Latest Norwegian Poll

A new political poll shows Norway's center-right parties would secure a parliamentary majority if elections were held today. The four conservative parties now hold 88 seats compared to 81 for the five left-green parties.

The Labor Party dropped 4.5 percentage points to 25 percent support. The Progress Party gained 1.7 points to reach 23.3 percent.

The Christian Democratic Party grew 1.6 points to 5.7 percent. The Conservative Party, Liberal Party and Red Party also saw minor increases within the margin of error.

All parliamentary parties remain above the 4 percent electoral threshold required for representation. The survey interviewed 1,194 people between October 27 and 31. The margin of error ranges from 1.4 to 2.8 percentage points.

This marks a notable shift from the actual election results two months ago. The center-right bloc appears to be consolidating support while the traditional Labor Party struggles to maintain its base.

Political analysts note these early post-election polls often reflect initial voter reactions rather than long-term trends. The government formation process typically influences public opinion in the months following elections.
