Musical performances feature the Guard Band and Guard Combo. Popular singers Jenni Vartiainen and Klaara Koivunen will perform as soloists. National Opera singers appear in the State Hall while Marzi Nyman and Mirella perform in other palace spaces.
Veterans and Lotta Svärd members celebrated separately on December 2 at an earlier daytime reception. Veteran organizations had requested this schedule change to accommodate older participants.
