The Finnish Tax Administration had petitioned for the bakery's bankruptcy. Records show the business owed approximately €23,700 in tax debts.

Founders Jussi and Tiia Mattsson launched their catering company in 2021. Jussi Mattsson, who also works as a musician, previously explained that pandemic restrictions gave him time to develop his baking hobby.

Before starting the business, Mattsson appeared on a popular Finnish baking television show. He published a cookbook the following year.

The bakery had provided food for various events throughout Kouvola, a city in southeastern Finland known for its railway heritage. Local customers had come to appreciate their unique rock-and-roll themed baked goods.
