A fire broke out early Saturday morning in a multi-family residential building located in central Trollhättan, Sweden. Johan Bäckström from the Fyrbodal Rescue Service stated that the fire is burning within the building’s structural components. He confirmed that all occupants have been evacuated from the premises. The building involved contains four separate apartments, and Bäckström described the incident as a fully developed fire, indicating flame involvement throughout the structure. Emergency response efforts include personnel from four fire stations, along with a designated incident commander overseeing operations on site. According to Bäckström, who serves as the duty officer for the Fyrbodal Rescue Service, there are currently no reports of any individuals sustaining injuries during the incident. The initial alarm was received at approximately five o’clock on Saturday morning. Police have also arrived at the scene to support the rescue service and will conduct an investigation to determine whether any criminal activity played a role in starting the fire. Morning temperatures in Trollhättan were recorded at around minus ten degrees Celsius. Due to these freezing conditions, authorities plan to contact municipal officials to arrange immediate access to warm shelter for all evacuated residents. This coordination aims to ensure the safety and well-being of those displaced by the fire until further arrangements can be made.
