Heavy snowfall has affected multiple locations across Rogaland county in Norway. The snow has been falling steadily for several hours, resulting in accumulation on the ground. Particularly heavy snowfall has been observed on Haugalandet and in the Ryfylke region. According to John Ask, operations leader at the police department, snow depths have reached up to 40 centimeters in the Haugesund area. Police personnel stationed in Haugalandet have reported that there is a very large amount of snow on the ground. They emphasized the need for extra caution when driving service vehicles under these conditions. Ask stated that, as of now, there have been no reports of traffic accidents either in the northern or southern parts of the police district. Patrol units using their own service vehicles have described the driving conditions as challenging due to the substantial amount of snow covering the roads. A photograph taken in Tau shows considerable snow accumulation there as well, confirming that the heavy snowfall has impacted other parts of the region beyond Haugesund. The ongoing weather event continues to affect travel and daily activities in the area, with authorities monitoring the situation closely.
