There is very likely an ongoing conflict between the banned gang Loyal To Familia (LTF) and a local group that police have named the Korsløkkegruppen in Odense. Fyns Politi stated this in a press release, noting that the National Unit for Special Crime (NSK) and Fyns Politi have jointly prepared a conflict assessment regarding the situation in Odense. The conflict appears connected to an explosion-related fire that occurred in Korsløkkeparken during the night of February 1. No individuals were injured in the incident, but police immediately suspected criminal activity behind the explosion. In addition to the blast, authorities have recorded other incidents in and around Odense that have contributed to public unease. These include deliberate vehicle ramming attacks. Fyns Politi emphasized its focus on identifying and prosecuting those responsible, ensuring public safety in Odense, and preventing further incidents. Vice Police Commissioner Michael Lichtenstein stated in the press release that the police understand the situation may feel unsettling for residents and assured the public that all available tools are being used to contain the conflict. These tools include the implementation of stop-and-search zones and enhanced penalty zones. He also noted that investigations are heavily focused on individuals linked to the conflict. LTF originated in the Nørrebro district of Copenhagen and was officially banned by Denmark’s Supreme Court in 2021. Since the ban, participation in or promotion of the group has been a criminal offense. Despite this, LTF has continued to be involved in violent conflicts, including previous clashes with the Hells Angels motorcycle club.
