Denmark welcomes a week of pleasant daytime temperatures and a mild November beginning. Temperatures will reach 10-13 degrees Celsius throughout the week. The weather will offer a gentle mix of sun, clouds, and occasional rain.
Henning Gisselø, a meteorologist on duty at Denmark's Meteorological Institute, shared the forecast early Monday morning. He said the weather will shift frequently between sunshine, clouds, and light rain. Most importantly, it will remain mild. People won't need heavy winter coats or to salt the roads, he noted.
Monday started with mist and fog, especially over Zealand. This will clear quickly, giving way to a morning with scattered clouds and some sunshine. However, clouds and rain around midday will hit Western Jutland. They will spread to the rest of the country during the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will stay around 10 degrees with a light to fresh wind.
The rest of the week will see similar days. Temperatures will hold at 10-13 degrees. There is no need to worry about night frost.
Tuesday will bring scattered showers and a little sun, Gisselø said. It will also be relatively windy with a steady to strong wind.
On Wednesday, Denmark will be split. The northwestern part can expect clouds and rain. Meanwhile, the southeast might see sunshine but should still prepare for isolated showers.
Thursday looks relatively nice, according to Gisselø. There will again be isolated showers with some sun. Friday seems to offer a bit of sun before clouds and rain arrive later from the west.
We are getting a mild start to November, the meteorologist explained. The air is generally coming from Central Europe, where it is quite warm at the moment.
Forecasts for the weekend could still change. Gisselø's best guess is that people should not fear large amounts of rain there either. The question is how much sun will appear on the other side, he added.
This forecast suggests a very manageable start to the colder season for Danes, potentially lowering early heating costs for many households.
