Police have confirmed the discovery of Stian Hole's body in the Molvika area of Hamarøy municipality. The location lies approximately 15 kilometers from the Joker grocery store in Storjord where he was last seen.
Officers made the discovery on October 16 after receiving tips about clothing spotted in the area. A police patrol investigated and located the remains.
Hole's brother Morten expressed relief about the finding. He said the family feels comforted knowing Stian has been found. The brother emphasized that determining the cause of death now rests with investigators.
The last confirmed sighting of Stian Hole occurred at the Joker store in Storjord during summer 2023. His former partner reported him missing two days later on June 9.
Investigators found evidence scattered across multiple locations. A tent containing some of Hole's belongings was discovered kilometers from where he was last seen. His clothing was found even further away in a boathouse at Tysnes.
