A motorcyclist has died after a crash with a bus in Mejlby, police said, according to Ekstra Bladet and Berlingske.

The collision happened at the intersection of Mejlbyvej and Guldbjergvang at around 11:00, Østjyllands Politi said in a press release. The intersection is closed to traffic and police will remain at the scene for another hour. A vehicle inspector is at the site to help establish how the accident happened.

At Copenhagen Airport, air traffic was stopped for about half an hour this morning and several planes landed with delays. "We experienced a short power outage this morning. In combination with fog, it meant that we stopped air traffic for around half an hour. Safety is always our first priority," airport traffic chief Samuel Rude told DR in a written comment.

Two aircraft were redirected to the airport in Malmö in Sweden, and air traffic is now back to normal.

Criminals are reading death announcements online to pick out elderly people in grief and try to defraud them by phone, according to the National enhed for Særlig Kriminalitet (NSK), which is receiving reports of the calls. The fraudsters tell the surviving spouse that relatives have inheritance, excess tax or pension from the deceased waiting to be paid out, then ask for the card number, expiry date and three-digit security code, and finally MitID approval.

Vicepolitiinspektør Allan Lørup of NSK said the scammers use details from the announcements to appear credible. "The scammers use information from death announcements, including family members' names and details about the death or the funeral, to manipulate the bereaved into believing that the call is legitimate," he said. Victims are typically 80 to 90 years old and in a very vulnerable mental state because they are grieving.

"It is deeply distasteful that criminals exploit people in grief to commit fraud. We encourage children and other relatives to talk to surviving spouses about being particularly vigilant," Allan Lørup said. Authorities will not call to ask for money transfers or for card or MitID details, and police are carrying out an initial investigation.
