South and South Jutland Police have initiated an investigation into possible abuse at a care home located in Vejen. Duty Chief Jan Lolk confirmed the case to news agency Ritzau and noted that information about the matter has been posted on the official police messaging platform Politi Update. At this stage, police have not released any specifics regarding the nature of the alleged incident, whether any individuals sustained injuries, or if any persons have been arrested in connection with the case. According to the statement on Politi Update, officers were present at the care home throughout the entire evening and are expected to remain on site for an extended period. The investigation includes conducting interviews with relevant individuals and performing various technical examinations. These forensic efforts are being supported by the National Forensic Center, abbreviated as NKC. Police dog units have been deployed to assist in the ongoing inquiry. Authorities have informed relatives of the residents who may be affected by the incident. The initial report was received by police on Saturday evening at 7:08 p.m. The investigation is continuing with the aim of establishing a clear understanding of the exact circumstances surrounding the event.
