Personalized plates remain popular despite rejections. Sweden approved 3,564 custom plate applications in 2024, setting a new record. Västra Götaland county accounted for 547 approved plates.
Swedes can apply for custom plates to personalize their vehicles. The Transport Agency reviews each application against strict content guidelines. This system allows personal expression while maintaining public standards.
