Within a short period, three separate traffic accidents have occurred on Essingeleden, the section of the E4 highway that runs through western Stockholm. The collisions happened in both the northbound and southbound directions, causing major disruptions to traffic flow. Emergency and recovery operations are currently underway at all crash sites. In the southbound lanes near Midsommarkransen, three cars were involved in a collision. According to the rescue service, approximately ten people were affected by this incident. Further along the route, near Kristineberg, two vehicles crashed into each other. Police officers are conducting interviews with the drivers directly at the scene to determine the cause of the accident. A third crash took place in the northbound direction near Fittja. This incident involved a collision between a truck and a passenger car. All three accidents are contributing to traffic delays on the E4. Recovery crews are actively working to clear the wreckage and restore normal traffic conditions. Essingeleden serves as a key transportation corridor for commuters traveling into and out of central Stockholm, and the simultaneous nature of these crashes has led to widespread congestion across the area.
