Two separate traffic accidents occurred on the E45 motorway near Aalborg in the northbound direction during Friday afternoon, causing major disruptions and a kilometer-long traffic jam. The first incident involved three cars that collided near exit 21 Nørresundby N, located just beneath the Limfjord Bridge. These vehicles initially remained in the center lane for an extended period, blocking traffic flow. Police later moved the cars onto the emergency shoulder to clear the main travel lanes. The second accident happened between exit 21 Nørresundby N and exit 10 Høvejen. According to P4 Trafik, a truck stopped in the emergency lane while a delivery van was stranded in the right lane with its front end pointing in the wrong direction. Due to this hazardous situation, authorities closed the right lane, contributing to congestion. An update from P4 Trafik confirmed that the delivery van, which had been blocking the right lane, has now been removed. All lanes are officially open again, but a long queue of stationary vehicles still stretches back to Aalborg Øst as traffic slowly recovers. Drivers should continue to expect delays despite the reopening of all lanes. The combined effect of both incidents created a several-kilometer-long standstill during the busy afternoon rush hour.
