The Central Finland district of the Finns Party has announced its first candidates for the 2027 Finnish parliamentary elections. Janne Luoma-aho and Henri Sorvali will represent the party from Jyväskylä, a city in the Central Finland region. Luoma-aho works as a fire chief and holds several public roles. He is the second deputy chair of the Jyväskylä City Council, a regional council representative, and serves on both the Regional Council of Central Finland and the board of the Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities. In a statement, he said, “Central Finland has enormous potential, and I want to help create new opportunities to strengthen employment and vitality in the region. Safety is the foundation of society, and developing it is close to my heart.” Sorvali is a heating, ventilation, and plumbing installer by trade. He currently serves as chair of the Finns Party’s Central Finland district and also acts as a party delegate at the national level. According to Sorvali, his political priorities will include nationalism, family policy, and unwavering defense of the entire Central Finland region in every matter.
