Three adults and one child were transported to hospitals by air ambulance and rescue helicopter following an incident in northern Norway. The child was flown together with one of the adults to the University Hospital of North Norway in Tromsø. Operations leader Martin Marum provided information to the press during the night leading into Saturday. He stated that the child's condition is described as critical but stable. No further details about the nature of the injuries or the identities of those involved have been released. Operations leader Eli Opphaug spoke with the Norwegian News Agency, known as NTB, and relayed information from patrol officers present at the scene. According to these officers, the ground conditions were extremely slippery due to clear ice. This created a hazardous environment for travel and movement in the area. The icy conditions were noted with temperatures as low as minus 23 degrees Celsius. Such temperatures typically result in frozen surfaces, but the presence of clear ice added an additional layer of danger. Emergency services responded promptly, using both air ambulance and rescue helicopter resources to ensure timely medical transport for all four individuals involved. The University Hospital of North Norway in Tromsø is one of the main medical centers serving the northern region and is equipped to handle critical cases. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely.
