The agreement covers the so-called SSA reserve for social, health, and labor market areas from 2026 through 2029. Approximately 68 million kroner will support vulnerable children and youth. These funds will strengthen violence prevention programs, enhance support for the Children's Telephone helpline, and improve detection of child abuse cases. The minister noted that too many children experience home violence and society must improve both prevention and detection efforts.
About 54 million kroner specifically targets vulnerable individuals with Greenlandic backgrounds. This represents recognition of the unique challenges faced by Greenlandic communities in Denmark. Another 145 million kroner addresses disability services, aiming to simplify support systems and strengthen legal protections for disabled citizens.
The minister expressed pride in the special focus on vulnerable citizens with Greenlandic backgrounds and creating more independent daily lives for people with disabilities. The funding also includes 106 million kroner for severely vulnerable adults, including those experiencing homelessness or substance abuse issues. Approximately 62 million kroner will combat human trafficking.
This cross-party agreement involves the government along with Denmark Democrats, Socialist People's Party, Liberal Alliance, Conservatives, Red-Green Alliance, Social Liberals, and Alternative. The broad political support suggests widespread recognition of these social priorities.
The current SSA reserve allocation is actually lower than previous years.
