The court convicted the man of secrecy violation and service offense. He avoided more serious treason charges that could have meant prison time. The video showed the rocket launcher's firing control system briefly. It included hashtags connecting it to military systems used at the garrison.
The sergeant removed the video after about twenty hours. Between 30 and 40 people saw it, mostly fellow conscripts with a few civilians. He admitted to the charges in the Satakunta District Court last Friday.

Court documents noted significant operational security risks because the material could potentially reach third parties through cloud services. The 45 day-fines total 270 euros based on the man's income.
