Norwegian police have closed the investigation into a knife attack that left a minor seriously injured at Skedsmokorset in Lillestrøm. The incident occurred on a Tuesday afternoon in April 2025 near the bus terminal. The victim was airlifted to Ullevål Hospital with severe injuries, but authorities never identified or apprehended the perpetrator. Police attorney Silje Haugerstuen Bergsholm confirmed to Romerikes Blad that the case was dropped because investigators could not identify the person who carried out the stabbing. Following the attack, police interviewed the victim and other individuals involved, collected telecommunications data from the surrounding area, and reviewed all available video surveillance footage. Four witnesses were questioned during the investigation, but none of these witnesses saw the actual stabbing take place. Despite these investigative steps, police were unable to gather enough evidence to identify a suspect or proceed with charges. The victim’s legal representative, Mohamed Hamzaoui, expressed disappointment over the decision to close the case. He stated that his client had been willing to cooperate from the beginning and had provided a statement to the police. According to Hamzaoui, the case contained a significant amount of information. He noted that while law enforcement requested additional details during the process, they did not succeed in solving the case. The closure means no further action will be taken unless new evidence emerges.
