Fallen trees blocked lanes on two Danish motorways overnight to Sunday as storm-force gusts swept the country, the Danish Road Directorate (Vejdirektoratet) warned. On the E20 Fynske Motorvej, trees came down across the westbound carriageway between Odense and exit 48 Tietgenbyen.

On the E45 Nordjyske Motorvej, trees blocked the southbound lanes between Frederikshavn S and exit 12 Sæby N. Fallen trees were also reported on country roads in North Jutland.

"It has blown well through the night in Jutland," said Anja Bodholdt, duty meteorologist at the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI). "Many places have registered gale, strong gale and storm-force gusts."

The wind was strongest in North Jutland on Sunday morning before moving east. Bodholdt said North Jutland, Djursland, Funen, Zealand, Lolland-Falster and Møn would see strong winds with storm-force gusts through the morning and forenoon. The wind was expected to leave Jutland between 07 and 08, Zealand at 9-10, and Bornholm over midday.

Between 10 and 15 millimetres of rain fell in western Denmark overnight, with 5 to 10 millimetres expected on Zealand.

On Funen, trees fell onto the E20 between Rønninge and Nyborg in the right lane toward Knudshoved, and between Bøgebjerglund and Vester Åby near Faaborg, where the road directorate urged drivers to reduce speed. Trees were also reported near Nykøbing Falster on the bypass between Skovalleen and Gedser Landevej, and water was reported on the E45 near Vejle toward Skærup.

Vejdirektoratet warned of strong wind on several bridges, including the Lillebælt and Storebælt bridges. Wind-sensitive vehicles were advised not to cross Lillebælt, and trailers under 2.5 tonnes were banned on Storebælt, which did not need to close on Saturday evening.

DMI issued a warning of storm-force gusts in North Jutland and on Læsø, along with a warning of elevated water levels on Jutland's west coast, expected to peak overnight to Monday.
