A 33-year-old man with Pakistani citizenship has been sentenced to eight months in prison and expelled from Denmark with a six-year ban on re-entry for selling drugs.
Police stopped the man in Herlev in mid-September. Officers found cocaine and ketamine in his car. They then searched his home, where they found a larger sum of cash that allegedly came from drug dealing.
The man has been held in custody since his arrest, and the verdict came a little over a month later. He has appealed the ruling to the regional court.
"The authorities take drug sales very seriously, and that is why the man has been expelled from Denmark, even though he was born and raised here," says special prosecutor Peter Rask.
