Police in Varde Municipality caught 53 speeding drivers out of 1,056 vehicles at a speed check on Kirkegade in Oksbøl, Syd- og Sønderjyllands Politi said. The highest speed was 77 km/h in a 50 km/h zone, and five led to license marks, according to Danish Police.
At 22:39, police received several reports of a ghost driver on Den Sønderjyske Motorvej near Tinglev. A car was driving southbound in the northbound lane. Police stopped it and charged an 81-year-old man with reckless driving.
The car was seized.

A 29-year-old Romanian citizen was arrested Friday in Esbjerg Kommune, suspected of stealing goods including coffee. The suspected stolen goods were worth more than 40,000 kroner. He was remanded in custody for four weeks at Esbjerg Court.
