A man in his 25s has died after being shot in connection with a car in a residential area in Bagarmossen, in southern Stockholm, and prosecutors say a misdirected shooting is one of the lines of inquiry. No one has been arrested, SVT reported.

The man was shot on Friday afternoon. Police announced later that evening that he had died.

"We are looking at that too," prosecutor Rasmus Öman said of the misdirected-shooting theory. "One of several theories is also that the target was someone else, but it is too early to draw any conclusions."

Öman said investigators have not been able to identify a suspect. "We have not managed to identify the suspected person," he said.
