Police in Norway dealt with a container fire in Trondheim, a small tablet fire in a Skien apartment building, a house burglary, an attempted e-bike theft and four traffic incidents.
Trondheim: Police and the fire service were called to Risvollan at 02:59 after a report of a fire in a container. Firefighters reported the container fully ablaze when they arrived at 03:04. A car parked near the container was damaged.
The fire was extinguished at 03:28 and police have opened a case.
Skien: Emergency services were at Mælagata Sør at 03:30 after a report of smoke in the loft of an apartment building. No injuries were reported and no open flames were seen. The fire service confirmed the smoke came from a tablet, which was taken out.
A small fire in a tablet that was charging caused the smoke. The fire service ventilated the site and police opened a case.
Vestby: A detached house in Son was broken into during the weekend. A police patrol attended the scene. The burglary appeared professional and is being linked to break-ins with a similar method elsewhere in the district.
Hemsedal: A camper van slid off Rv52, Hemsedalsvegen, and hit a power pole. The pole broke and lies across the road, causing traffic problems at the site. Driving conditions were difficult, with snow and slippery roads.
No injuries were reported. Emergency services and the power company E-verket were on their way.
Sandnes: A moped car overturned on Ryfylkeveien. The driver, a girl in her late teens, was slightly injured. The vehicle was partly in the driving lane and partly in the ditch.
There was little traffic at the site.
Seljord: A car drove off Fv3422, Ã…motsdalsvegen, near Skorigrendi. One person was in the car and no injuries were reported. A recovery vehicle was on its way.
Indre Fosen: A traffic control along Storvassveien by Storvatnet resulted in five drivers receiving simplified fines for speeding. One driver had their licence seized after driving at 122 km/h in an 80 zone.
Lillestrøm: A security guard detained a person who tried to steal an e-bike at Lillestrøm station. Police took control of the person, who was brought to the arrest cells.
