Andreas Poulsen is open to a move away from Silkeborg IF, with his contract expiring in the summer. In the new year, the 27-year-old defender can begin negotiating with another club.
Poulsen was a regular starter when Kent Nielsen was head coach. This season has been different under Morten Dahm Kjærgaard. After a system change, Villads Westh has taken over that side of the pitch.
Poulsen has played only 169 Superliga minutes and made one start this season. He was on the bench in the afternoon match against FC Nordsjælland and has had playing time in four matches this autumn.
“I haven't thought about it much, but it's clear that we are working to see what options there are. Together with my agents, I'm trying to find the right place, but I can't say whether it will be winter or summer,” Poulsen told Midtjyllands Avis.
Poulsen joined Silkeborg in 2023. He won the cup tournament in his first season on loan, then joined permanently from AaB the following summer. He has made 84 appearances for the club.
