Police arrested two individuals after a violent incident at a Finspång nightclub. A 45-year-old man sustained serious injuries and required hospital treatment.
The altercation occurred around 1 AM on Saturday morning. Authorities classified the case as attempted murder after the victim was attacked with a sharp object.
Officer Oscar Palmgren confirmed the investigation remains active. "The incident happened at an entertainment venue and we're still processing the scene," he said in a statement. "We haven't established the full sequence of events, but the man suffered injuries from some type of weapon."
Finspång, located in eastern Sweden, has approximately 13,000 residents. The town sits about 150 kilometers southwest of Stockholm.
