Den Sønderjyske Motorvej E45 is closed in the southbound direction at the Kliplev exit after a fire broke out in a pig transport, Syd- og Sønderjyllands Politi said, according to Danish Police.
The Sønderborgmotorvejen is also closed, so drivers cannot join the E45 in the southbound direction from there. Police are working at the scene with assistance from other authorities and advise drivers to find alternative routes.
Police reported 26 incidents during the storm and raised water levels from the night between Saturday and Sunday up to today. Most involved fallen trees, and in a few places water came indoors. No injuries were reported.
At 22:39 police received several reports of a car driving southbound in the northbound lane of Den Sønderjyske Motorvej near Tinglev. Police stopped the car, charged an 81-year-old man with reckless driving and seized the vehicle.
