Man Hospitalized with Stab Wounds After Fredrikstad Incident

Police and ambulance crews responded to an address in Fredrikstad following reports of a stabbing around 4:30 PM. A man in his 40s was transported to Kalnes Hospital with bleeding stab wounds to his inner thigh. Two young women, one of them a minor according to authorities, were also sent to the emergency clinic after being beaten and cut with a knife. All three individuals involved told police that no one else participated in the incident. Investigators confirmed that blood trails led directly to the apartment where the incident occurred. There is no reason to believe additional people were injured. A police spokesperson stated that local residents have no cause for concern about their safety. The incident appears to be contained to the individuals directly involved, though the motive remains unclear. Stabbings of this nature are relatively uncommon in Fredrikstad, a city of approximately 85,000 people located southeast of Oslo.
