Oslo Airport closed overnight on Tuesday after drones were spotted in the airspace near the facility. All flights were redirected from Norway's main international airport. This incident occurred just hours after Copenhagen's Kastrup Airport also closed due to unidentified drone activity. Norwegian and Danish police are now investigating potential connections between the two drone incidents.

In other Nordic news, four European countries recognized Palestine as a state during the UN General Assembly in New York. Monaco, Malta, San Marino, and Luxembourg followed through on their promise to recognize Palestinian statehood. Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard stated that increasing international recognition puts pressure on the Israeli government.

A major fire broke out at a recycling center in Angered, Gothenburg. Authorities issued a public warning alert, advising residents in the Agnesberg area to stay indoors and close windows and doors. The fire at the scrap facility prompted emergency response teams to contain the blaze.

Jakob Hansen, deputy police inspector with Copenhagen Police, commented on the drone incident at Kastrup Airport. Police in both countries continue to investigate whether the drone sightings are coordinated.
