Police in North Jutland continue searching for 76-year-old Hanne from Vognsild. The woman, who has dementia, left her home Sunday afternoon and was reported missing that evening.
Vagtchef Michael Mow confirmed the ongoing search Monday morning. "We are still looking for Hanne," he stated.
Dog patrols worked through the night in western Himmerland. They have now returned to base as fresh teams take over the search operation.
A police helicopter also participated in the search but found no trace of the missing woman.
Hanne is described as 170 cm tall with a suntanned complexion and shoulder-length dark hair. She was last seen wearing a gray knitted sweater and gray-green trousers.
Witnesses last saw Hanne at her Vognsild home at 3:00 PM Sunday. Another possible sighting occurred at 4:15 PM outside her residence.
The search focuses on areas around Vognsild and nearby FarsĂž. Police urge residents to check gardens, sheds, and outbuildings.
"We continue to ask people to keep their eyes open," Mow said. "We hope someone spots something and calls us when it gets light."
For a dementia patient to spend a night outdoors in Danish autumn weather raises serious concerns about her wellbeing. The extended search operation demonstrates the urgency of the situation.
