A 24-year-old German citizen will appear at the Court in Sønderborg at 10:00, the prosecution at South and Southern Jutland Police said. He is charged with entering Denmark in breach of a travel ban from October last year.
In the meantime, the man has served a remaining sentence, according to the police statement.
Police also warned of hard southwesterly winds forecast by DMI, bringing higher water levels on the west coast. Fallen trees are expected across roads. The Tarphagebroen bridge may have to close overnight, and the Fanø ferry may have to cancel departures late in the evening.
Earlier, police reported a fire in a container on Industrivej in Bolderslev, in Aabenraa municipality. Smoke from the container was affecting a few households northwest of Bolderslev, and residents bothered by the toxic smoke were told to go inside and close doors and windows.
