Four teenage boys were robbed of jackets and money outside a McDonald's at Storo shopping center in Oslo. The incident occurred around 7:24 PM on Tuesday evening.
Police operations leader Roy Langengen confirmed the attack involved boys aged 14-15. "Two jackets and some money were stolen from the victims," he said. "One boy was also put in a chokehold during the robbery."
Officials noted none of the teenagers sustained physical injuries requiring medical attention. The suspects fled the scene immediately after the robbery.
Police are searching for six to ten individuals described as wearing dark clothing and caps. Some suspects wore masks to conceal their identities.
Authorities used drone surveillance and ground searches in the immediate area following the incident. Search efforts have since been scaled back according to official statements.
All victims have been interviewed by police, and their parents were contacted to provide support. The case remains under active investigation.
This incident highlights ongoing concerns about public safety around major shopping areas in Norway's capital city, particularly during evening hours when such locations attract young people.
