A pharmacy in Kauniainen was robbed on Monday after a suspect threatened staff with a possible bomb. The incident occurred on Kauniaistentie street in the affluent Helsinki suburb.
The suspect entered the pharmacy carrying a bag they claimed contained an explosive device. They demanded medications and successfully obtained pharmaceutical products before fleeing the scene.
Police in Western Uusimaa received reports of the robbery after 10 AM Monday morning. Customers were present during the incident, but no one sustained injuries.
Authorities are treating this as an aggravated robbery. The suspect wore gray pants, a yellow-and-black jacket, and a hood with black and gray coloring. They carried plastic bags and had a slim build.
