Police confirm they have received public tips in the Alver homicide case after requesting assistance last week. Investigators remain particularly interested in a cyclist and bicycle observed on County Road 564 between Holme and Frekhaug. The sighting occurred on Thursday, October 19 around 7 PM.
Officials have received information about the cyclist but not from the individual themselves. Police still seek details about the bicycle's whereabouts. The lead investigator said in a statement they continue to request public assistance.
Authorities also want dashboard camera footage from vehicles in the Holsnøy, Flatøy, Knarvik, or Åsane areas. The requested timeframe spans Thursday between 6 PM and 11 PM.
Witnesses can contact police by phone at 45 60 60 78 or through official police websites. Alver municipality is located in Vestland county, western Norway, an area known for its coastal communities and cycling routes.
The ongoing search for both cyclist and bicycle suggests investigators consider this a crucial lead. Public cooperation often proves vital in such investigations, but the missing bicycle raises questions about whether evidence has been deliberately concealed.
