Police are searching for a suspect after a stabbing incident in Nykøbing Falster. A 23-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach early Sunday morning on Brovejen street.
The attack occurred around 5:30 AM in this Danish town located on the island of Lolland. Local police are investigating the case as serious assault.
Morten Kronbo, the police duty officer, confirmed they have spoken with the victim. He said the young man received hospital treatment but is no longer in life-threatening condition.
The suspect fled the scene immediately after the attack. Police cannot yet confirm whether the attacker and victim knew each other beforehand.
Nykøbing Falster is a medium-sized town in southern Denmark with approximately 17,000 residents. Violent crimes of this nature remain relatively uncommon in the region.
