Emergency services rushed to a residential building in Trångsund, Huddinge on Wednesday morning. A passerby reported smoke coming from the multi-family building around 9 AM. Firefighters arrived to find one apartment fully engulfed in flames.
The fire has now spread to the roof and attic space. Regional operations manager Jörgen Winborg confirmed the apartment fire is extinguished. Crews are currently working to control the attic blaze.
Police have cordoned off sections around the building to assist rescue operations. Many emergency resources remain on site as the situation develops.
Authorities confirmed the burning apartment was unoccupied at the time. No injuries have been reported so far.
