A large fire broke out in the Swedish town of Ängelholm early this morning. The blaze started in a garage building before spreading to another structure nearby.
Emergency services received the alarm at 2:07 AM local time. Rescue coordinator Mikela Warhed described the situation in a statement.
"First it was one garage building burning, then the fire spread to another one," Warhed said.
Ambulances rushed to the scene in this coastal town located in southern Sweden. Officials cannot yet confirm if anyone suffered injuries.
Authorities warn the fire could spread further. Firefighters continue battling the flames as the investigation begins.
This incident highlights the challenges facing emergency services in smaller Nordic communities. Limited resources can stretch thin during simultaneous emergencies across Sweden's vast rural areas.
