A man has been found with stab wounds in Malmö's Sofielund district. Police received the alert just after 6 PM on Monday evening. The victim was transported to hospital with unclear injuries.
Authorities are investigating the incident as attempted murder. The crime scene remains cordoned off as evidence collection continues.
Police spokesperson Evelina Olsson confirmed the man's condition. "He is receiving hospital care with unclear injuries," she said in a statement.
According to investigators, the man managed to leave the crime scene on his own. He traveled to a nearby gym where he was eventually discovered.
No suspects have been detained in connection with the attack. Multiple police resources remain active at the location.
"We have dog patrols, regular patrols and technicians on site," Olsson explained. "This is standard procedure for these types of incidents."
The police presence will continue until forensic work concludes. Investigators cannot yet determine how long this will take.
The incident highlights ongoing challenges with violent crime in Malmö's southern districts. Despite police efforts, serious assaults continue to occur in residential areas.
