Two cars collided on Highway 70 just north of Sala, near the intersection with County Road 765. Both vehicles overturned and landed upside down in a field according to police reports. One car burst into flames following the impact.
Passersby managed to rescue the driver from the burning vehicle. Magnus Jansson Klarin, police press spokesperson for the Central Region, confirmed the challenging extraction. He said the driver had some difficulty getting out of the wreckage.
