Jewelry Store Robbed Again in Seinäjoki as Police Hunt Suspects

Thieves stole a large quantity of jewelry and other property from a Seinäjoki jewelry store on Thursday. Police have identified two suspects in the burglary. One suspect wore all black clothing while the other had black pants and a light brown hooded jacket.

Authorities are asking for public assistance regarding a possible getaway vehicle. They seek information about any suspicious activity near the Hyllykallio Prisma area between 2:30 and 3:00 AM.

Emergency services received the burglary report at 2:39 AM. Police arrived quickly but the perpetrators had already fled the scene.

The Western Finland Police District is investigating the case as aggravated theft. This marks the second time this particular jewelry store has been targeted. Burglars previously broke in through the roof in summer 2020. Those thieves were later apprehended abroad.

Witnesses can submit tips to the Western Finland Police tip email at vihjeet.pohjanmaa@poliisi.fi or by calling 0295 415 501.

This repeat targeting suggests either poor security measures or the store's particular vulnerability to theft. The quick police response yet failed apprehension shows the challenges of preventing well-timed burglaries.
