Loose Horse Causes Disruption During Stockholm Hunt

A horse ran loose through Stockholm's affluent Östermalm district on Saturday afternoon. The animal escaped from the annual Hubertus Hunt at Gärdet. This traditional event features riders competing to be first to reach the "fox tail." Another horse also broke free earlier that day when its rider fell off. Police confirmed both horses were captured by 3 PM. They returned safely to their stables with no injuries reported. Police spokesperson Nadja Norton confirmed the successful recovery in a statement. The incident caused temporary disruption in one of Stockholm's most exclusive neighborhoods. Such escapes remain rare during organized equestrian events despite the inherent unpredictability of working with large animals.
