Police have closed their investigation into the deadly Farsta Bridge collision. Investigators determined the car driver caused the accident. The driver died in the crash on August 28.
A police spokesperson explained the findings in a statement. The car was traveling at very high speed before suddenly swerving into oncoming traffic. It then collided head-on with a bus.
Authorities found no technical faults with either the bus or the car. Both vehicles were in proper working condition at the time of impact.
The bus driver also died in the collision. The tragic incident claimed two lives on this Stockholm bridge.
This case highlights how quickly routine travel can turn fatal. Despite proper vehicle maintenance, human factors remain the greatest variable in road safety.
