Attempted Murder Investigation in Norrköping
Swedish police are investigating an attempted murder in Norrköping after a man was found injured in the Hageby district. The victim was hospitalized but discharged hours later. Authorities classified the case as attempted murder despite the quick medical release.

Police are investigating an attempted murder in the Swedish city of Norrköping. A man in his 30s was found injured outdoors in the Hageby district late Friday evening.
Officers responded to the scene around midnight. The man was transported to hospital by ambulance but was discharged later that same night.
Police commander Oscar Palmgren confirmed the injuries were not from gunfire. He said the man sustained injuries through other means that authorities are not yet disclosing.
Despite the victim's quick release from medical care, police classified the case as attempted murder and serious weapons crime. They removed crime scene barriers at 12:45 AM.
Björn Westman, the officer in charge, noted hospital staff cleared the man for discharge around the same time police concluded their initial investigation at the scene.
Norrköping is Sweden's tenth largest city, located about 160 kilometers southwest of Stockholm. It has faced challenges with organized crime in recent years.
The quick hospital discharge suggests the injuries may have been less severe than initially feared. Yet police maintain the attempted murder classification, indicating they have evidence of serious criminal intent.
